Foresters earn three All-League praises
Marion, Ind. – The Forester outdoor track and field program turned in several record-breaking performances at the Crossroads League Championships hosted by Indiana Wesleyan on May 1-2.
Jonathan Farinha set a new meet record in the 200 meters with his prelim time of 20.76. He also ran a leg of the 4x100-meter relay along with Sam Handerson, Zach Collins and Nathan Farinha that finished in 39.73 which also proved a new meet record. Their time is currently the second fastest time in the country.
Celestin Trambloy rounded out the list of conference champions for HU by winning the 400-meter hurdles in 52.14.
Mackenzie Brewer took third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (12:05.95) to log the first of three All-League badges on the women's side. Trysta Hilton placed third in the 400m hurdles (1:04.26) while Emily Tedder wrapped up Huntington's all-league performances with a second place finish in the 5000 meters (17:31.31).
As a team, the Forester men enjoyed a share of third place with Mount Vernon with 79 points. Marian ran away with the men's title with 294 points followed by Indiana Wesleyan (119), HU (79), Mount Vernon (79), Spring Arbor (66), Taylor (64), Grace (61), Bethel (47), Saint Francis (24) and Goshen (23).
The Huntington women finished sixth with 58 points. The Knights also claimed the women's title by a landslide of 240 points followed by Indiana Wesleyan (145), Taylor (126), Grace (72), Mount Vernon (69), HU (58), Spring Arbor (55), Saint Francis (34), Bethel (31) and Goshen (24).

The Foresters will compete in several last-chance meets prior to NAIA Nationals on May 21-23.
