McCutcheon tabbed CL Baseball Player of the Week

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Graduate student Ian McCutcheon has been tabbed the Crossroads League Baseball Player of the Week as announced by the league office earlier this afternoon.  

Wrapping up the regular season, McCutcheon was the key cog offensively for HU's 6-0 week. The Huntington native posted 13 hits, six for extra bases, while knocking in seven runs. He was a perfect 7-for-7 in stolen bases and scored nine times.  

McCutcheon is the third Forester this season to earn a CL baseball player of the week accolade.

With a sweep of Marian over the weekend, the Foresters (35-14, 27-9) leapfrogged Indiana Wesleyan in the regular season standings to finish second. Frame and crew kick off the league tourney at Forest Glen on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. They will square off against the best seed from Wednesday's play-in game.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 17 intercollegiate sports for men and women.
