
Foresters off to a great start
Marion, Ind. - The HU cheer team kicked off their season over the weekend at the Wildcat Invitational hosted by Indiana Wesleyan. It's the Foresters' second season of competitive cheer.
The IWU Invite featued three sessions with Huntington posting a score of 43.87 for fifth place on Friday night highlighted by the squad logging zero performance deductions. The Foresters returned on Saturday for two more sessions. Round two saw the team improve their score by six points with a 49.43. They built off that energy to turn in an even higher score of 49.73 in the final round.
Next up for Coach Esque and crew is Spring Arbor's Cougar Classis on Saturday.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 160 NAIA All-America honors and 567 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
