
Three Foresters honored by league
HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced its 2024-25 All-League bowling honors with three Foresters recognized for their outstanding play this season.
On the men's side, sophomore Leland Jones earned one of five spots on the First Team. The Lexington (S.C.) native averaged 194.25 in league play which proved the fifth highest average among his CL peers.
As a team, Huntington finished third in the Crossroads League Championships.
On the women's side, sophomore Amanda-Lynn Turner was honored by the Crossroads League for the second straight season. As a member of the All-Newcomer Team last spring, this year she garnered Second Team All-League praises with her CL average of 175.3, nearly six pins higher than last year's 169.88 average. Turner's average was the ninth best in the CL this season.
Lilly Pryor was also a Second Teamer, an honor she received last year as well. Her league average of 175.8 was among the top ten in the Crossroads League.
As a team, the Foresters finished second in the CL Championships.
The Crossroads League also announced its Champions of Character award winners which included Turner as the Forester women's pick and David McLaughlin earning this honor on the men's side.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 160 NAIA All-America honors and 567 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
