Richmond and Wilson honored by league

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – The Crossroads League announced its 2024 All-League honors for men's golf and among those recognized were Foresters Peyton Richmond and Mitchell Wilson.

The duo earned a spot on the Honorable Mention Team for their outstanding play over the course of the year. Richmond topped Huntington with his 75.4 scoring average. The junior from Fort Wayne (Carroll HS) picked up a pair of individual medalist praises having topped the leaderboard at the Cardinal Classic and Delaware Shootout. On the year, he finished with four Top 3 finishes.

Wilson played some of his finest golf during his final campaign. His scoring average of 77.2 was second only to Richmond. The Columbia City native (Columbia City HS) collected two third place finishes, the first this fall at the Cardinal Classic and his second in April at the AC Eddy Invitational.

As a team, the Foresters took first at the Cardinal Classic and AC Eddy Invitational. HU's fourth place finish at the Crossroads League Championships was the highest finish as a program since 2013.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 154 NAIA All-America honors and 501 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
