HU opens up season at Lou Collins Memorial Classic

Battle Creek, Mich. - The Forester men's golf team opened up their season at the Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by the University of Olivet over the weekend. Of the ten teams competing at Bedford Valley Country Club, HU finished seventh with a 630 (314-316).

Trine topped the leaderboard with a 603 followed by Washington & Jefferson (605), Westminster (616), Albion (617), Kalamazoo (623), Adrian (628), HU (630), Olivet A (635), Bluffton (649) and Olivet B (677).

Next up for the Foresters is the Players Club Invitational September 9-10 at The Players Club in Yorktown, Ind.

OTHER NOTABLES
Patrick Davis is in his first season as the head coach of the men's program while Rick Sholund returns to HU as an assistant having previously spent 6.5 years as the head coach.
