Mattingly and Kamden earn All-Conference honors

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - The Crossroads League announced its post-season awards for the 2012 men's soccer season and among the list of honorees was Huntington University junior goalkeeper Drew Mattingly and freshman defender Bradley Kamden.

Mattingly, a Floyds Knobs, Indiana native (Christian Academy of Indiana), was one of two league goalies to be named First Team All-Conference.

He currently leads the league and ranks 25th nationally in total saves with 90. His five saves per contest places him second among his Crossroads peers. He gave up just over one goal per contest to place him 42nd in the NAIA in goals against per game (1.160) and was credited with five shutouts on the season.

Kamden quickly established himself as one of the top defenders in the conference and for his efforts earned Second Team All-Conference honors. The rookie from Calgary, Canada (Western Canada H.S.) anchored the Foresters' defense and was a key factor in HU's success this season.

The Foresters wrap up the season with an 8-9-2 record. They finished 8th in league standings to advance to the conference tournament for the first time since 2008.
