Farinha and Lemmon bring home top finish from Tech Open

Fort Wayne, Ind. – The Huntington outdoor track and field program made the short trip to Fort Wayne Friday afternoon to compete in the Indiana Tech Open where Erica Xayarath, a Tech transfer, brought home a pair of first place finishes, leaping her way to a B-standard finish in long jump (5.76m) and then earning the top spot in triple jump (11.11m). Other Foresters to win gold included Josey Reineman in long jump (1.61m) and Trysta Hilton in the 400m hurdles (1:05.05).

On the men's side, Jonathan Farinha sprinted his way to first place in the 200 meters by clocking in at 21.67. Jonah Lemmon also earned a first place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:19.15.

The Foresters head to Indiana Wesleyan on April 11-12 for the Indiana Little State Championships.
