#RV Grace sweeps HU with 76-61 win

WINONA LAKE, Ind. – The HU women's basketball team suffered a 76-61 loss Saturday afternoon to the #RV Grace Lancers at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. It's the Foresters second loss to GC inside of a week. With the win, the Lancers (16-5, 9-2) earn the regular season series sweep over Huntington (8-13, 3-8).

The first quarter went HU's way. It was 16-13 at the first break behind six points from Konnor Gambrell. The 6-0 forward only played three minutes before heading to the bench in foul trouble. The next ten minutes, however; swung in Grace's favor. The hosts, behind eight points from one of the league's most dominant players in Karlee Feldman, outscored HU 25-11 for a 38-27 halftime lead.

Huntington played within four points of Grace the rest of the way but unfortunately the second quarter blip proved costly and ultimately proved the guests' demise.

Emily Seboe finished with a team-high 14 points with all but her two freebies coming from long range. Celeste Ryman collected 11 points while Dazia Drake, Laura Valiente-Marin and Konnor Gambrell each tossed in nine points for the Foresters. Alli Vaughn led HU in rebounds with six, half at the offensive end.

Feldman topped all scorers with 20 points and 14 rebounds for the double double. Maddie Ryman added 17 points and seven assists while Kiersten Findley recorded 13 points and nabbed eight rebounds.

The Foresters head to #7 Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday for a 7:00 p.m. matchup with the Wildcats.
