Strong second half lifts #10 IWU past Foresters

MARION, Ind. – The HU women's soccer team held #10 Indiana Wesleyan scoreless 55 minutes before giving up three goals in a 15-minute span to suffer a 3-0 loss at IWU Soccer Field Wednesday night.

It was business as usual for the Wildcats (12-0-1, 5-0) as ten of their 12 wins have been shutouts. IWU has given up just three goals on the season.

Ireland Aerni took the loss in net. The sophomore keeper finished with nine saves.

"We had a team objective to not allow an early goal and we lasted into the second half," noted Coach David Lewis. "The effort was good against a strong opponent."

Things don't get easier for HU (2-11-1, 0-5) as they host #2 Marian on Saturday.
