Foresters' season comes to an end at Goshen

GOSHEN, Ind. – Playing their last regular season match of the year, the HU women's soccer team came up short on the road, 1-0, Saturday night to Goshen at Ingold Complex. It marks the end of the year for Lewis and crew as they didn't qualify for postseason play.

The Foresters had a strong showing against the Maple Leafs. HU logged 14 shots, 11 on target, to hold a slight advantage in shots taken over their hosts who finished with 13 shots, seven of which were on goal. Unfortunately, Goshen got the break they needed six minutes before intermission. The 1-0 advantage stood the test of time to give the hosts their second league win of the year.

Overall, Coach David Lewis was pleased with the play of his team. "The team gave great effort tonight. They are playing a better brand of college level soccer.

"We conclude the season with a poor record, but the players have established a strong team bond and they have been a pleasure to coach."

Huntington's final record stands at 2-14-2 overall which includes an 0-8-1 record in CL action.
