Huntington suffers 1-0 loss to Bethel

MISHAWAKA, Ind.  – Bethel's goal just over a minute into the second half was enough for the win over the Forester women's soccer team Wednesday night at Morey Field. The 1-0 decision saw the Pilots outshoot their visitors 21-5.

While possession stayed in HU's defensive third more often than not, Forester keeper Ireland Aerni and her crew stood tall to consistently deny the Pilots  with the only exception Audrey Lerch's goal at the 46:16 mark. Aerni finished with nine saves on the night.

While the Pilots are currently riding a three-game win streak over Lewis' squad, over the last decade, Huntington holds a 6-5 win advantage over BU. The Foresters return to King Stadium on Saturday to host Saint Francis at 1:30 p.m.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 18 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 154 NAIA All-America honors and 501 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S. News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
