Huntington, Ind. – A 4-0 loss to #RV Grace wasn't how the HU women's soccer team wanted to celebrate Senior Day Saturday afternoon at King Stadium. Unfortunately for the hosts, the Lancers scored within the opening 15 minutes and then continued building on that lead to make for the four-goal disparity by game's end.
Grace (10-3-2, 2-3-2) extended their advantage to three by intermission and then found back netting again with five minutes remaining to put the finishing touches on the clean sheet. The Lancers have made quite a name for themselves on the defensive end having shut out their first eight opponents. They have ten shutouts on the year.
The Foresters were only able to get off two shots compliments of GC's stingy defense. At the other end of the pitch, Ireland Aerni kept busy in goal having collected eight saves.
Huntington (5-5-5, 0-4-3) hits the road next Saturday to take on #17 Indiana Wesleyan at 2:00 p.m.
