
Forester Women Excel at Crossroads Championships
Upland, Ind. – The Huntington University women's indoor track team finished third in the overall point standings this weekend in Upland at the Crossroads League Championships. Erica Xayarath's leap in the long jump earned her conference champion honors. The first place finish gives Xayarath back-to-back conference championships in the long jump. Anna Jeannin finished second in the pentathlon while the 4x400m Relay team of Trysta Hilton, Lydia Baker, Mackenzie Brewer, and Olivia Howell also had a strong runner-up finish. Olivia Howell (600m), Emily Tedder (3000m), Abbey Gentz (5000m), Josey Reineman (High Jump), and Aanyah Wright (Weight Throw) each earned third place finishes. Additionally, the Distance Medley Relay team of Olivia Howell, Trysta Hilton, Mackenzie Brewer, and Emily Tedder turned in a third-place finish. With these top three finishes, 12 Foresters earned All-Conference honors. Huntington also had several athletes who qualified for the NAIA National Championships that will take place in Gainesville, Florida from February 27th- March 1st.
